Spring Break is upon us, and that means it's officially swimsuit season. Now technically, I'm not in the market for a new swimsuit. I bought three last year, and I'll continue to wear them this year since there's absolutely nothing wrong with them.
But it's always fun to look, and I really think I want to turn this into an annual tradition, regardless of whether I actually buy a new suit for the current year.
Before I share with you the swimsuits that have caught my eye this year, I thought it'd be nice to share with you the three swimsuits you'll be seeing me in this year. All were purchased last year, and all three are still available, as all all of the swimsuits I shared in my 2025 swimsuit picks.
The black floral two-piece was hands-down my most-worn swimsuit of last year. It's flattering and comfortable, and the straps on the back of the top are really cool. The two-toned blue-green was my second most-worn. I liked that the bottoms were adjustable. The floral print one-piece, that I apparently never took a picture of myself wearing, was a non-boring, flattering option that I wore quite a bit to our local water park. All three of these are great quality and affordably priced, and I would buy them again.I also want to share some of my favorite summer essentials that are back in stock and absolutely worth the price. My crochet cover-up is like wearing a fancy t-shirt. I like that it's short sleeved, thick enough to not be completely see through, and soft enough that it doesn't irritate my skin after being in the sun all day.
These water shoes were 100 percent my best purchase last summer. They kept my feet from burning on the hot concrete at the water park and didn't look as dorky as traditional water shoes. I love that they have sneaker-like soles with grippy tread, which made them much nicer for waring in the pool.
This Scout tote was my go-to for all water-related activities last summer. It's not huge, but it was just right for taking to the water park or out on the boat. This year, I have upgraded a bit to one of those big rubber totes, but I think I'll still use the Scout bag for the water park since we don't take as much in there.
Now on to my picks for 2026.
When it comes to swimwear, I'm not trendy at all. I've been wearing the same styles, colors, and patterns pretty much my whole life. Furthermore, I don't ever really notice a lot of deviation from year-to-year in my local shops or even my favorite online retailers. That said, I did do a brief bit of research into this year's swimwear trends (after I'd already picked my favorite suits to share with y'all) and found that, among other things, there's been a shift to early 2000s styles just like we're seeing in regular fashion. There's also been a return to simpler cuts and styles and more subtle details.
Like I said earlier, I'm not in the market for a new swimsuit this year, but if I was, these are the ones I would be considering. They're all on the modest side since I prefer a bit more coverage these days (I am not about that sunburn life, y'all), though not all are one pieces. All are under $50, which I think is pretty standard for a good suit these days. They come from Old Navy, Target, and my favorite Amazon swimsuit brands, as those are the three main places I buy my swimsuits from.
As always, these are all a reflection of my own style preferences and are meant to serve as inspiration rather than a guide. I hope my picks help point you in the direction of your perfect swimsuit, regardless of if it comes from here.
Pink Floral One Piece - Y'all know I love floral print, and this is one of my favorite Old Navy prints of all time. I like the ruching on this one; I feel like it would be flattering on anybody. It comes in three solid colors and a purple gingham print.
Purple Gingham Bikini - I really like the style of this two piece. The cinched detail on the top and bottoms is interesting. It comes in a few other color options; I also like the green floral.
Brown Polka Dot One Piece - This might be my favorite swimsuit on this year's list. I love brown polka dots so much. They always give off a Pretty Woman vibe, and this suit is just so chic to me.
Side-Tie Swim Dress - Is it just me, or are swim dresses gaining popularity these days? Thank goodness they're much cuter than they used to be. This one is adorable and comes in a ton of options.
Black Polka Dot One Piece - I don't think you can ever go wrong with black polka dots, but this suit has some fun details to help convince you. I love the knotted detail at the bust and ruching in the stomach. Both take an otherwise simply cut swimsuit up to the next level.
Swiss Dot Bikini - If I were in the market for a new suit, this bikini would be at the top of my shopping list for sure. I love swiss dots! But also, this top has that great tie feature which makes it just a bit more interesting than a regular bikini top, and the bottoms have those adjustable sides that I like so much.
Tropical Print One Piece - Prints like this take me back to my childhood. Man, this print was popular in the early 200s, and I had more than one swimsuit in this style. I love a square neck on a swimsuit, and this one has a nice scooped back, too.
Tropical Print Bikini - Same print, different color scheme, and obviously a different style swimsuit. I really like the back details on the top; it's a racerback style with a keyhole cutout. The bottoms are medium coverage and high waisted; they've got a wider waist band, which I think is interesting.
Floral Print One Piece - How cute is this one piece! I love the little tie detail on the front; I think it helps to keep that plunge modest. It's also got criss-crossed straps on the back, which is always fun. Also, the print is just really pretty. It says the bottoms are cheeky, but the model pictures look full coverage to me, so take from that what you will.
Strapless One Piece - I really like the print of this one piece. It has a built-in shelf bra to keep it in place, but it also comes with removable straps. It's got some shirring on it, too, which is more subtle than ruching but has about the same effect.
Ruffled Bikini - I think this is my favorite bikini on the list. How cute is this print? And the ruffle details! It's just perfection all the way around.
Yellow Floral Print Bikini - This bikini has lots of goodness going on. First, how pretty is this yellow floral print? I also like the wooden O ring in both the top and the bottom.
Brown One Piece - I don't know what it is exactly about this one that has me hooked, but I love it. It's just a plain Jane one piece at first glance, but it's got some subtle details that level it up. Specifically the shell stitching going around all the edges. It gives it just enough contrast to make it interesting. This one comes in a ton of different color options, so even if the brown isn't your cup of tea, you should definitely check it out.
Green Floral One Piece - I think this swimsuit is just so pretty. It's a basic design with ruching in the body for that tummy control effect. I like the wider straps and that it has metal fastenings. It comes in a ton of options.
Green Paisley Swimdress - I really like the paisley pattern in this swimdress. It's very similar to the one I shared earlier in terms of how it's cut. I like the double strap feature on the front and the scoop neck of this one just a bit better. It also comes in more color options.
Floral Print Tankini - I really like this print a lot. Like, a lot a lot. It also has a really cute tie back and shell stitching.
Red Floral Tankini - This suit has a straighter cut than the previous one, which I find more flattering for myself. The top has an interesting cut-out on the back, and how cute is that print on the bottoms? It comes in quite a few color options.
Color Block Bikini - This is a very plainly cut swimsuit other than the sort of criss-cross detail on the waist of the bottoms. I like the color-blocking and this particular color combination. It comes in a few more.
