This roundup is comprised entirely of outfits I wore to teach middle school. I forgot to take photos of what I wore over the weekend, and one of those weekend days was spent working at the barn so wasn't worth photographing anyway. I'm also missing an outfit from the last week; it was Homecoming and that day we wore spirit shirts, which I can't link to, so I didn't take a picture.
We're currently in the countdown to Fall Break. I'm not going to lie -- I really wish it was next week! But we've got one more week to get through before having some time off.
It still doesn't really feel like fall here, but our temperatures have started to drop a little bit. Our highs for the last week have only been in the 80s, so that's an improvement at least. I'm still channeling fall through color and texture, not bulk or layers.
Sizing info: I'm 5'2" and weigh about 140 lbs. I typically wear size 6 or s/m in clothes and size 7 in shoes.
We're starting this roundup with an outfit that doesn't scream fall so much as Valentine's Day, but it was Georgia Reads Day, so I dressed appropriately.
My t-shirt is a Temu find. It's really soft and has just the right amount of stretch to it. It says "Books are my love language." I linked to the exact one I'm wearing as well as something kind-of-but-not-really similar on Amazon.
My skirt is several years old and usually only makes an appearance for Valentine's, but I absolutely loved wearing it on a random Monday, so I'm going to try to bring it out more throughout the year. It's still available and absolutely worth adding into your closet.
I decided to lean into some of this season's trends with this outfit and pulled out my brown loafers. These were either a birthday or Christmas gift, and I can't find them online anywhere, so I linked to a pair from Old Navy that look really similar. I'm telling y'all, don't sleep on Old Navy's shoes. I own quite a few pairs, and other than that one pair of Mary Janes that I just couldn't bring myself to love, I wear them all the time.
I finished the look with a pair of cream-colored ruffle socks that I picked up from Walmart. They're so soft and squishy!
This favorite outfit is back, y'all! You already know how much I love these green overalls. I decided to style them with this pretty blouse for their first wear of the season.
This blouse is still available, but not from the seller I got it from, so when you click the link you'll see other options there. A word of warning about the blouse -- the back is completely sheer, so keep that in mind.
This dress was featured in my Fall Favorites at Old Navy post, and I am so glad I ordered it for myself. I love this style of dress so much, and this dusky blue color is just perfect. It doesn't really scream fall, which I appreciate since it means I'll be able to wear it all year long.
My leopard print mary janes were also featured in that post, and they have become a fast favorite. I was worried they wouldn't be comfortable or that it would be a repeat of the black mary janes all over again. But the toe on these isn't a harsh square shape; it's somewhere between square and almond, which works for me. I also really like the wider black, buckle strap. These feel very on trend but also fit my style perfectly.
This is another outfit that doesn't quite say fall, but I love how colorful it is. These jacquard textured jeans are still a favorite; I keep finding new ways to style them! They're still available, too.
My graphic tee is also still available, surprisingly. I sized up to a medium so the sleeves wouldn't be too tight. It's a ringer style tee, so it runs a little smaller.
This might be my favorite outfit of this post. I wore it to kick off the start of my spooky writing unit, which will run through the next several weeks. To me this pairing feels a bit unexpected - the shirt's brightness compared to the more somber tones of the skirt - but I love the way it all just works together.
I actually found this t-shirt at Lowe's of all places. They actually have quite a few cute Halloween-themed t-shirts, and they're all around $10. You can't beat that!
I cannot for the life of me remember where I got this skirt, which is a bummer because it's really nice quality. It's not wool, so it's not heavy, but it's also thick enough to not show lines or need a liner. The waist is elastic and it's got pockets. The skirt itself is the perfect amount of loose for me, and I like the midi length a whole lot. Expect to see this one make a lot of repeat appearances.
The only thing I feel like I should warn you about is the neckline -- it's really low, or at least it was for me (probably because I sized up). At any rate, you might want to layer a camisole underneath or at least wear something that you don't mind showing in the gap.
This dress is an old favorite that makes a few appearances on the blog every year. I decided to change things up with how I usually wear it this go 'round with my leopard print mary janes, and I really like the final result.
This is another outfit full of old favorites. This dress is the one I shared back at the beginning of the summer, and I still love it just as much. To make it fall appropriate, I layered my tried-and-true short sleeve, denim button up over the top and tied it at the waist (rule of thirds, y'all), then added my leopard print mary janes.
