Over-knee-boots have been a trend I've admired on others but been wary about trying out myself because of my height. I worried that the boots would make me look shorter than I actually am. But when I saw this pair, I had to try them. They have an inner ankle zip, ties on the back and a nice cut-out at the knee. The suede, almond toe and heel help make these boots chic. They're pretty tight, especially around my prone-to-swelling ankles, and don't have much bend in the ankle area, but otherwise are comfortable ... so long as you don't try to cross your legs at the knees. Also, this skirt is a new favorite and is on major sale. I linked to it below.
I'm your mom friend who's probably overdressed for the occasion, would rather drink Mountain Dew than wine, and definitely stayed up too late reading last night. Thanks for joining me on this crazy journey!
August felt like a blur of a month if I'm being honest. I did spend a good chunk of it reading, and I have five books to share with you ...
September Book Club Pick
Jess has lost everything: her job, her apartment, and her son in a tragic accident. So she packs up what's left and moves to a small mountain town where she begins working as a caregiver to Lucy, an eccentric old woman rumored to be clairvoyant. But Jess isn't the only lost soul who's taken up residence in Lucy's home. There's Star, a teen runaway with a painful secret, and a little boy with heart-shaped stones.
