Why is shopping for a dad so hard? You think you've found the perfect gift only to realize that they bought it for themselves months ago! And don't get me started on asking them what they want. They just say, "Oh, you don't have to get me anything." Or, "I don't need anything; save your money."
Don't they get it? We want to buy them something! Their kids want to buy them something.
So what are we supposed to do for the dad who buys what he wants and/or needs? Or the dad who can't tell you what he wants?
I'm here to tell you that shopping for dad doesn't have to be a chore. Stop looking for the things you think he needs and start looking for the things you think he'll find interesting or be intrigued by or that thing he never knew he wanted. Don't know where to start? I've got you covered with 15 unique gift ideas that he'll never see coming but are sure to put a smile on his face. The best part? They're all under $50.
When putting together a gift guide, I stay away from trends and those overpriced gift lists put out by popular magazines that are full of ideas that aren't all that practical for the everyday family. Instead, I think about the dads in my life: my husband, my stepfather, and my father-in-law. So you can be rest assured that the gift ideas on my list were well thought out, and that they are gifts I would actually buy. This year I wanted to share some truly unique ideas with you, so I went to the one place that always delivers on that front: Uncommon Goods. For nearly thirty years, this online marketplace has offered unique, hand-crafted items that are leather, feather, and fur-free. Each purchase you make through their site also helps benefit non-profit organizations through their Better to Give program.
