For those of you who are new around the blog, real outfit roundups are a bi-monthly post in which I share the outfits that I wore in real life over the previous two weeks, along with brief descriptions and/or explanations for each outfit and links to shop exact or similar items.
This one will be short and sweet seeing as how my summer so far has been pretty chill. It rained every day the first week, so we didn't do much at all, and this second week Alexis has been with my parents and Chris has worked, so I've had lots of time at the house by myself. There were two days that I didn't even leave house at all other than to take out some trash, and I don't think that counts. Oh, and also, I reverted back to mirror pics for some unexplainable reason.

Sizing info: I'm 5'2" and weigh about 140 lbs. I typically wear size 6 or s/m in clothes and size 7 in shoes.
T-shirt (same print) | Shorts
My shorts are technically pajama bottoms, but everyone is wearing these as shorts so I decided to jump on the band wagon. These are a really cute green gingham print with a lace stripe detail on the sides. They are fully closed, so no gaping holes where the fly would usually be. The green is selling out, but they also come in red and blue gingham and a solid yellow. I sized way up to a large so that they would be nice and loose.
My t-shirt is from last summer and no longer available from the seller I got it from, but I found the exact same print from another seller so I'm linking to it.
I do remember what we did on this day. We went to the library! I had just gotten this pretty eyelet dress from Target and wanted to wear it, so I did. Like I said at the beginning of the post, it was raining, so I added the lace vest over the top for an extra layer.
I literally just bought this dress a few days before wearing it, but it is completely sold out online. As in there's no longer a product page for this dress. So I can't link to it, and I refuse to link to something that's not going to match up to it. It's 100 percent cotton and fully lined. If you like it, check your local store.
I love this outfit so much! It just felt so summery and perfect. We're going to ignore how wrinkled my top is in this picture -- it was the end of the day, and it was pretty hot and steamy. All I can tell you about this particular day is that we ate dinner with my parents and some family friends. I took a light blue cardigan to throw over my shoulders in the air conditioner, but I didn't take a picture with it, and it's not available anymore anyway.
Anyway, this blouse is so dang cute! I love the handkerchief cut, and the pattern on this is so great for summer. It also was a nice complement to my favorite light blue, cotton-linen blend skirt. I finished the outfit with my tried-and-true white sandals which are incredibly still available. Remember to size up half.
I am so tickled with how this outfit turned out. I've been trying to figure out how to lighten up this skirt for spring and summer, and this light blue tank top was just the ticket. Sadly, this skirt is selling out, and I have no idea if it's going to be restocked. It's one of my favorites.
This tank top is just a basic, ribbed-knit tank from Walmart that I got for under $10. I knew when I bought it that it would be a great addition to my closet. It goes with so many things I already own. It's also nice and stretchy and soft.
My sandals are from last summer, but I am linking to a current pair that's very similar from the same brand. Fair warning: I bought the pair I've linked to in a different color and can tell you that the ankle strap is pretty short, so keep that in mind.
Man, I really need to replace these all-but-worn-out sandals, but I just cannot find a pair that are the same level of comfort. Every pair I try on are so dang stiff and hard, and I refuse to buy one of those plastic pairs.
Anyway, I am so pleased with this oversized Nirvana tee. It's the perfect amount of boxiness and cropped just right. I paired it with these old favorite striped linen shorts for a day of lounging around the house. We did go out to grab Subway for supper, but that's about it.
This dress, y'all. OMG it's so perfect. It's so simple but looks so fancy. I love this pink and green floral print, too. Also, it's got the cutest tie detail on the back that's purely decorational, so if it comes loose you don't have to worry about flashing everyone around you. This is the medium, and I'm wearing very flat sandals, and it's not dragging the ground. The straps are adjustable, and it's got pockets.
Oh, if you couldn't tell, we browsed through a few stores this particular day. We also took Alexis to swimming lessons then to my parents' house and to lunch. We ended the day with a date night dinner at a locally-owned Italian restaurant in a neighboring town. It was a pretty full day.
I felt like I should be on a yacht in this striped tank and linen shorts outfit. It felt like an elevated lake outfit. We did not, in fact, go to the lake this day. We did, however, drive to a neighboring city for dinner.
This tank top is a better-than-basic top. It's soft and stretchy with a ribbed knit. It's got scallop details at the neck and arms. It's a good length to tuck in if you want or to leave out.
These white linen shorts are still available in all sizes. They're not see-through, which is always a plus for white.
This is one of those days I told you about earlier when I didn't leave the house, hence the bare feet. I did get dressed though. On Wednesdays we wear pink...
Okay, so I'm disappointed in this graphic tee. The graphic is one of those sticker ones, so it's crinkly and probably isn't going to hold up very well. The strawberry is also off-centered, and I'm not sure if it's on purpose. It doesn't feel intentional, though. It is oversized, but for me the length is about two to three inches too long; it's awkward, and I've actually got it folded under in this picture. I'm trying to figure out if I can cut off that extra length without messing it all up.
My shorts are from last year and are unfortunately no longer available, which is such a shame. I wore these suckers so much last summer and will be wearing them on repeat again this summer.
We've come to the second day that I didn't leave the house. Once again, though, I did change out of pajamas and into real clothes, though I never put on real shoes.
I absolutely love my Powerline concert tee. It's got a tour lineup on the back! Sadly, I can't find this exact one anywhere to link to, so you'll have to settle for some similar options.
I still love these lime green striped linen shorts. These are one of the best impulse buys I have ever made. I have not regretted owning these once. I wear them all the dang time.
My slippers are so old, y'all. I'm pretty sure they're Dearfoams, but I honestly have no idea since I didn't buy them for myself.
This was a fun day. My husband and I went to a semi-fancy lunch at a local spot downtown. Then we did some shopping at my two favorite stores, Old Navy and the bookstore.
This entire outfit is from Old Navy, actually. Sadly, only the shorts are still available. They're the exact same linen shorts as the white pair above.
My blouse is actually not that old, but it's been so popular. It was restocked several times, but is sold out once again online, and any that are still in stores are on clearance. If you do come across one though, I definitely recommend. It's so cute with its peplum hem, plunge neckline, bow ties, and polka dots.
