Fly Me to the Moon

Want to know one of the secrets to making it through an entire night of working alone?

And lately I've been really into jazz. You know, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Louis Armstrong, the whole gang.

There's just something about that era of music that makes me feel so peaceful and at ease with the world. Not to mention it keeps me pretty mellow over the whole back-to-overnight-producing situation.

So now for your viewing and listening pleasure, here's one of my favorites as sung by ol' blue eyes himself, 'Fly Me to the Moon.'

  1. Who are you, mystery blogger, and what did you do with Ashton King? (LOL)

    Maybe I've seen too many episodes of BLEEP My Dad Says but I am always a bit surprised when a 20-something embraces the music of my generation. It's gratifying because a wealth of great music was made back then. Once again you are revealing yourself to be an open minded individual, Ashton.

    I always listen to my favorite music while I work because it helps to turn work into play.

    If you like Dean Martin I hope you will visit my blog early next week when I present a piece entitled "Dean for a Day."

  2. You're so old school, Ashton. It's awesome. You have an old soul. And, yes, that's a compliment.

  3. @Shady: I have an entire station on Pandora dedicated to that type of music. And the classic movie channel is one of my favorites!

    @Christina: I do, don't I? Sometimes I think I was born in the wrong era. I do believe I would've enjoyed the 50s.
