It can be difficult to get kids to want to eat their breakfast each morning. While it might seem easier to let them skip the first meal of the day, there are several reasons why breakfast is important. Breakfast is a good source of nutrition, and it also provides your kids with the fuel they need to perform well throughout the day.

If you are having trouble getting your children to eat each morning, you don't need to give up and skip breakfast. With the right kid-friendly recipes, you can find breakfast options that any kid will like.

Is your child a vegetarian? It's easy to find simple vegetarian meals for breakfast that they'll love. Do you want to incorporate more fruits and vegetables in their diet? Breakfast is one of the easiest meals to do so. Try some of the following breakfast ideas to help your children start their day off on the right foot.

Bagel and Cream Cheese Face

By making the effort to make food fun, you will have an easier time getting your kids to the table in the morning. With this breakfast idea, toast the halves of the bagel and spread cream cheese on each half. You can then prepare some healthy ingredients to make bagel faces. When your kids are young, you can make the faces for them, and when they get older, you can let them design their own.

Farina with Fruit

Farina is a hot, nutritious breakfast cereal that can be great on cold mornings. Most kids won't enjoy it plain, but you can make it a breakfast favorite by adding fruit. With slices of fruit such as bananas, apricots, or raspberries, you can add some flavor and make the farina much more nutritious. You could even add some nuts to the farina to add a nice crunch to the meal.

Egg in a Hole

Making an egg in a hole is a great way to make eggs and toast a little more interesting for your kids. It only takes about 15 minutes to make this breakfast, and you can round the meal out by serving some yogurt and fruit on the side.

Quick Sticky Buns

With a tube of premade biscuits and some brown sugar, you can make your own sticky buns for a quick breakfast. Most kids will love this easy breakfast, and you have some options for adding different flavors. You could add slices of fruit to the biscuits before they cook or even consider adding some pecans to give the sticky buns some crunch.

Eggs with Salsa, Cheese and Tortilla Chips

For a plate of eggs that will have your kids asking for more, you could make a simplified version of huevos rancheros. Instead of putting a fried egg on a tortilla, this idea calls for scrambled eggs prepared with salsa, cheese, and tortilla chips.

Chocolate Croissants

If your kids don't like regular croissants, you can make them more attractive by adding a little chocolate. Just take a tube of refrigerated crescent rolls and roll a few chocolate chips in each one before putting them in the oven. This an easy breakfast that only takes about 20 minutes to bake and is a good way to get your kids eating in the morning.

Yogurt Parfait

With the health benefits of yogurt, it can be one of the best foods to add to your child's breakfast menu. One good idea is to take a dessert glass to make it look like a treat. You can layer the yogurt with things like granola and fresh fruit to add flavors and textures. Along with that, you could also use maple syrup to sweeten the breakfast for your kids.

Even though mornings can feel hectic, there's always time to provide an easy, healthy, and delicious breakfast for your kids. Any one of these ideas is great on a busy morning, and they'll satisfy your kids for the long day ahead.
