As the last day of school quickly approaches, my calendar is filling up with all the end-of-the-year activities. We've got Honors Day and graduation, and I find myself in need of a new dress. So I've been on the hunt for something budget-friendly (read: under $50) that I can wear over and over again, and let me tell you, it's been tough!
There's a certain etiquette graduation to which guests are expected to adhere. The general rule or understanding is that guests should wear semi-formal or business casual attire. After all, the graduates themselves will be wearing robes with nice clothing underneath. On top of that, I attend as an employee of the school, not just a guest, so I have to dress accordingly. For me, that means my shoulders should be mostly covered, tops should not be too low cut, and skirts/dresses should be an appropriate length.
That's a tall order to fill, but I have found ten dresses that I would absolutely wear to a graduation, both as a guest and a teacher. Apologies in advance for all the blue, but our school colors are blue and gold, so there's that.
