Crockpot Chicken & Gravy Recipe

by - August 21, 2020

You can never have too many comfort meals in your recipe book, and I guarantee this easy crockpot meal will make it into your favorites. Not only is it easy to throw together, but Alexis said this is the best chicken she's ever had. It takes all of five minutes to get the ingredients into the crockpot, then you let it cook all day. Bonus: your house will smell amazing.

I use frozen chicken breasts, you know the ones that come in a big bag in the freezer section. Those tend to be larger pieces so two is plenty for our family. If you're using smaller cuts, I'd probably use three. Note: your chicken will probably not be completely covered by the gravy mix, but it will still cook just fine. I also don't pre-season my chicken. Instead, I add my seasonings directly to the gravy mix once it's cooked all day.

We like to eat it with white rice, but you could serve it over potatoes or by itself. I'm still trying to decide if I can somehow add the rice into the crockpot without it getting too mushy or burning. I like having a veggie side to keep things balanced, and I feel like next time I should make some biscuits.
