Sometimes in hotter months, when I'm focusing on staying cool as well as put together, my outfits feel like they're missing something. In the summer, especially in the South, working in a third completer piece of clothing can be difficult. Unless you work in an overly air-conditioned office, cardigan sweaters and denim jackets are out of the question. In the past few years, I've come to rely on my utility and denim vest to get me through the spring and summer months. I'll admit, I wear them mostly with dresses when I feel like I need to add a little structure or want my shoulders to be covered. I looked through my archives from last summer to share some ways you can wear a vest in warmer months.

Sizing: I'm 5'2" and usually wear size 6/8 or medium in tops and dresses, size 6 in pants/shorts, and size 7 in shoes.
