Monday Motivation

Happy Monday, y'all. Whew, what a weekend! I feel like we were busy every second of every day, but it was all worth it.

On Saturday, we celebrated Alexis's 7th birthday (early) with a gnome-themed arts and crafts party at one of our local studios (that's sadly shutting its doors at the end of the month). We had six little girls all total, the largest birthday group we've had yet! (Two had to leave early so that's why there are only 4 in the group picture.)

They made gnome pillows and were all so serious about getting their designs just right. It was a very involved project, too. They essentially created the gnome stencils that we used for the pillow covers, then applied it, chose their paint, and painted it. It was a lot of fun, and their pillows all turned out so cute!

We even had gnome-themed cupcakes and I managed to put together gnome-centric party bags for the girls to take home.

In other news, I got a pretty drastic haircut. I've been wanting a change, but I didn't want to lose any of the growth I've experienced over the last six months or so. So after thinking about it for a week or two, I decided to bring back my bangs. I've always enjoyed them whenever I've done it in the past, and I love the way it turned out with my shag-style cut.

We've been doing some Spring cleaning around the house the last several days, with more to come. I've been mostly concentrating on my closet. I'm getting rid of a bunch of shoes and clothes I've been hanging onto for the past few years because I wasn't convinced I wouldn't end up needing them again. Anyway, I'm thinking about doing a post about how I decide what to keep, toss, or donate/sell. What do you think?

The April magazine should be here this week, so I'll be doing distribution. Of course there's rain in the forecast, because it always rains when I need to distribute. Otherwise, I'll be working on the May-July issues and starting the transition to our new cover photographer.

Alexis's birthday is on Thursday, but she's obviously got school, so we'll do something special after she gets out for the day. We've signed up to do a paint party fundraiser on Friday. We're making a succulent planter box. Fingers crossed I'll be able to keep them alive, ha!

I think that pretty much covers everything. I hope you guys have an awesome week!
